Howard S. Schub, M.D.

Dr. Howard S. Schub

Dr. Schub has been an Atlanta resident for 33 years. He graduated with honors from Cornell University where he was elected a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He attended medical school at the University of North Carolina and was a John Motley Morehead Foundation Fellow in Medicine. He completed his pediatric residency at the University of Rochester, School of Medicine, where he did additional training in developmental disabilities. He then did his pediatric neurology residency/fellowship at Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Schub did a mini-fellowship in movement disorders at Emory University in 1996. 


Dr. Schub was a full time faculty member in the Department of Pediatrics at Emory University School of Medicine before founding Child Neurology Associates, P.C. in 1984.  He was also the Medical Director of the Pediatric Neurodevelopment Center at the Marcus Institute from 2001- 2008. 


Dr. Schub along with Dr. Raymond D. Cheng formed Atlanta Southeast Center for Epilepsy and Neurodevelopment, P.C. also known as ASCEND Pediatric Neurology in 2012. In 2014, in response to requests from patient parents and others in the community Dr. Schub and Dr. Cheng opened the ASCEND Adult Evaluation and Treatment Clinic to address the needs of adults with ADHD.


Dr. Schub’s specialties include:

  • Movement disorders, and
  • Neurodevelopmental aspects of pediatric neurology


Dr. Schub is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) in neurology with a special qualification in child neurology.
